BAKER
Hailing from Lincoln, NE, I’ve spent the last ten years learning the ins and outs of restaurant and food service work. From waiting tables and slinging beers, working plated dinner parties and weddings, to slanging tacos, burgers, and tri tip steaks. I’ve seen and participated in the many sides of the food service industry.
In March, 2020, my first child was born, the pandemic hit, and I lost my job temporarily all within one weeks time. I felt defeated at first, but it ended up being a blessing. I was able to spend the first few months of my child’s life being there for every moment, and with all the free time on my hands I also learned and honed in on a new skill, Baking. I ended up going back to my old job, but still found myself baking an excessive amount. Now, after 18 months of experimenting, making my wife try all of my breads and scones, and just dropping off loaves of bread and other goodies to my family, I feel I’m ready to spread the love to the rest of Lincoln!
While Scones are what I’m focusing on for now, I’m always trying new recipes and messing with other doughs. Be sure to keep an eye out for new flavors, and new baked goods to satisfy your cravings! Also, if you have a favorite flavor that you don’t see, shoot me a message and I’ll see what I can do. Suggestions are always welcome, and feedback is always appreciated!

DESIGN // LOGISTICS
I too have more than 10 years in the restaurant industry. I began as a host before serving and bartending. As much as I love to go out and try new foods and drinks, I have always enjoyed being on the other side of that table, sharing my favorite dishes, mixing drinks and getting to know new people. Jon and I met while waiting tables downtown. We’ve bartended many weddings together and even catered a couple of events.
I spent most of my youth baking.. cakes, cupcakes, cookies. I took a long hiatus from baking after college and dove head first into a lot of other hobbies and projects.. It wasn’t until Jon discovered baking through the pandemic that I rediscovered my love of baking sweet treats.
After our second child was born in the summer of 2022, I decided not to return to work full time in hopes that I would be able to dedicate my extra time to this business. ((extra time? Big laugh!)) My time is shared between my work with an interior design company, raising our family, gardening and partnering with Jon in this business.
You can find me at our local pop ups, delivering scones or connecting with others to grow Slow Your Dough. We have big dreams and we’re excited to share our love of baking with our community.

TASTE TESTER // BAKER IN TRAINING
Norah Mae is always excited to try new scones, but mostly just wants to lick the icing off the top. She’s always quick to ask for chocolate chips or a little bit of icing on her finger. She loves running deliveries and telling Dad to go to the kitchen to bake scones.
She is curious about what is going on in the kitchen and loves to smell ingredients and spices. We can’t wait to see what she may do in the kitchen one day!

Levon William
KNOWN FOR SHRIEKING WITH DELIGHT
Levon is sporting a smile 98% of his life… if he’s not screaming for more food. He’s been trying to get at our food since he was 3 months old, this kid was born to eat. He loves to eat anything and everything he can get his hands on. While he is always reaching for food, he has no problem sharing with the dogs. It’s no wonder their favorite place is below his feet.
Levon is working real hard to grow up fast. He loves watching his older sister and wants whatever she has. He loves snuggles and has yet to meet someone not worthy of a great big drooly smile.
